Malaysia
We arrived safely in Penang, Malaysia, yesterday, after an uneventful two hour flight on Malaysia's equivalent of AirTran. We slept late today and then spent part of the afternoon walking around Georgetown, the old colonial city we're staying in. The highlight was a tour of a 19th century Chinese merchant's mansion, built entirely in accordance with fung shui principles. Tomorrow morning we're leaving by bus for the Cameroon Highlands, an old hill station, where we hope to escape the near-100 degree heat that we've been baking in for weeks.

Mansions and feng shui - sounds like you could be at the Georgetown in D.C., though I'm sure you're having much more fun there than you would in the US version. LH
Hey y'all... you know, it does sound like Georgetown. Did you know that Cameroon, as in the country, got its name from the shellfish (camarones in portuguese/spanish) that are abundant in the area? Do you know if its the same for the Cameroon highlands?
